Cahal heard the girls whispering with his special hearing, and from the corner of his eye, watched them pass notes. He thought about asking them to stop, but then realized that it was only the first day, so he would let them off easy. Plus, I already embarrassed the poor girl today. He thought to himself guiltily.
He turned his attention away from them, to the rest of the class. "Now that I have introduced MYSELF, how about we go around the room and say our names and possibly what we expect of this class this year. And hopefully I can take all your suggestions into account for this year to make your lives easier." He heard a few groans around the room and he began to laugh friendly and charmingly. "Now, now it is not so bad. Come on now. Just your name and what you expect in this class. Now, who wants to start?" He looked around hopefully at his students, waiting for someone to start.

Graham shifted irritatedly in his seat and as he did saw a note fall onto the floor. it must have been her the whole time. How could I have not noticed it? He thought to himself as he opened it:
"dear graham, im sorry..its hard to get close to people for me um yea sorry again.."
Graham looked at it and realized that it was from Iris. He looked at the note for a moment stunned. Is she serious? He thought to himself as he looked back and saw her talking happily to Serenity. This made him a little angry as he thought that she was just saying that to get away from him. He picked up a pen and quickly went to answer it back. In perfect cursor, he wrote:
Really, because you look like you are getting pretty close to serenity. So maybe I should should fix your note with saying that you don't trust me because I am a guy. If you didn't like me then you should have just told me from the start.
However, as he wrote it he suddenly stopped for a moment. That's when it hit him. Maybe that really is the truth. Maybe she is just shy around boys. As he thought this, he suddenly felt bad. He crumbled up his first letter and threw it out. Then he tore out a new piece of paper from his notebook and wrote back:
I understand. Hopefully you can come to trust me soon, because I hope that we can be friends.
He passed the note back to her and smiled at her waiting for her to read it.

iris was sitting quietly with a new found joy blossoming inside her stomach at finding a new friend for herself when she saw the note she had sent graham coming back her way and she started to get nervous as to what the note would say she hoped graham wasn't mad at her for the way she didn't sit next to him she was just so scared that he would mad at her for it she stared at the note for a minute and then took a breath and opened it and read it. iris instantly felt bad even though the reply didn't seem mean she could tell that graham felt hurt by what she did but she didn't know how she could make it better..she thought for a minute before writing "id love for us to be friends maybe we could hang out sometime " iris wrote shakily before folding the note back over and got ready to send it nervously back to graham she hoped she wasn't being forward but she really didn't want to seem like she didn't like him or anything because she did he was really nice to her and she really didn't mean to hurt him she really distrusted guys was all..she sighed to herself and sent it back to graham and smiled back at him as he smiled at her and she pushed her hair back behind her ears and stayed smiling hoping that everything was going to be okay now and things would go to normal or at least as normal as things could ever get.

Graham, now feeling a little happier about his day, decided to answer back again, this time friendly on the first try. He wrote and then passed it back laughing quietly to himself as he thought about what the note said. I wonder what her reaction will be to the note. He thought to himself as he laughed again.
He sat there for a moment and thought back to what he had written:

take me up on the offer?iris thought fear beginning to coil in her stomach and it frightened her its not that hanging out with graham would be a horribly bad thing but it would certainly be difficult for her not to stare at him because not only was he cute but he was nice to her and that was a new found weakness for iris she couldn't resist people who were cute and nice gah..im a vampire you'd think id be able to withstand some guy with a cute crooked smile...maybe its time for me to break out of the shell that my change had caused me to fall into..she thought seriously considering the idea actually hanging out with graham one day..maybe soon..she decided to write back "sure.just lemme know when" she wrote happily down on the paper and then sent it to graham. biting her nails nervously at what graham might say, or do about it she hoped that he wasn't going to be mean to her now or make fun of her for actually wanting to spend time with him.

Adalicia started shifting when she heard the teacher say lets get to know each other. Adalicia thought well no body seems new to each other so whats the point. Adalicia sighed,She raised her hand,"Ill start" Adalicia stood up, "My name is Adalicia Lavender, Well What I exspect, is a good decent grade. " (THERE.She thought short and sweet) then Adalicia added, "Plus I want to be more out spoken so hopefully English will help me exspress more of things." Adalicia smiled and sat down. Adalicia pulled out her drawing book and started drawing again.

It was the first day of school for the Nina who stood by classroom door, her eyes pleading , as the teacher reluctantly pushed her away towards the door. She longed to feel the big calloused hand of her grandmother, a hand she’d never been denied before. Peeking through the classroom door at theteacherr shuffling despondently across the classroom to lean on her desk ,Ninaa had no way of knowing that her peers were looking at her
, as Nina walked down the lane, the emo youngster felt betrayed. School! Why did she need school? At this age and smart as a whip, she could read and write and she was good at math . And anyway, who needed school when her grandmother knew everything.
Her teacher, followed her ever onward down the classroom . Hating it already, she allowed herself to be led along footpaths through the meadows towards the classroom

Graham looked at the note shocked for a moment, then smiled as he remembered how him and the boys at the orphanage used to send noted to each other when they were supposed to be praying in church. He remembered when he got caught once by Father Charles. Well that was the beating of a lifetime. He thought with a bitter laugh.

He passed the note back, and when he looked up he noticed that people were looking at him. Then he realized why. Adalicia had been speaking and now everyone thought that he had been laughing at her, when he hadn't been. "Oh no, i wasn't laughing at you-i swear-really I-" He studdered before just giving up and falling silent. He swallowed slowly, and smiled nervously.

iris smiled at graham as she saw the note coming back toward her, she wasn't sure shed actually let graham take her up on the offer, he was nice and everything but she wasn't exactly sure that she would comfy hanging out with him alone, she thought of inviting serenity but she wasn't sure she wanted to share her just yet, she had just met her and she wanted to get to know her alone before they started hanging out with in groups unlike with graham whom she wanted to hang out with in a group first before she hung out with him alone if i ever do..but she wasn't exactly sure how she could tell him that.
the note got back to iris and as she read she felt like she was being put on the spot..anytime i see fit? gah..don't make me make decisions she thought as she stared down at it then with a deep breath she wrote back.
"well im not sure...im free basically all weekends cus im a loser with no life..so maybe this one"iris sent it back before she realized what a bad thing to write that was, now she had come off like a loser with no life and whether she was one or not graham really didn't need to know that, iris sighed and waited knowing that reply coming back to her would be one of dismissal who wants to hang out with a loser after all.

ADalicia looked at him with evil eyes, she turned around, and said to him *Oh I know you werent at least I hope you werent Graham* She smiled. What a player she thought. Hes always talking to some girl. Or has some girl problem it looks like. But Adalicia felt bad for him in a way. Adalicia looked around as he got that note back from Iris. Adalicia turned around and minded her business. Its all she could do. She thought she didnt get along with anyone here.

Cahal turned abruptly as he heard Graham laugh. When Graham began to apologize Cahal smile spread further across his face and his honey eyes laughed like golden liquid. Graham had talked out of turn. This was the chance he had been waiting for and Graham knew it.
"Ah, yes. we have our next volunteer then?" Cahal said as he looked at Graham and smiled as if they shared a secret, which ironically they did. His boyish smile and teasing eyes almost made him look like one of the students himself. "Mr. Taylor?" He asked with a light smirk across his face.

Graham looked at Cahal angrily. He had him. Graham stood up and spoke out loud while glaring at Cahal the whole time. "I'm Graham Taylor." He said with his thick english accent. "I love painting, music, cigarettes, and anything that involves having as much fun as possible. I hate rules, cops, irritating people, and having to speak when I don't want to." He said with a bitter undertone. "And from this class I expect to be left alone when I don't want to speak." He said obnoxiously.
He looked Cahal square in the eyes with a straight face, but mocking laughing eyes. Lets see what the wanker can make of that. He thought to himself happily.

Cahal looked at him unblinklingly, with the smirk still on his face. He hadn't expected anything less then what he has heard. "Yes. Well im sure you will be a delight to have in class then, right students?" He said, causing the class to laugh at his nonchalance.
"Now, onto more important things. Your first assignment." He put his hands up as he heard the groans. "Now, now. It's easy I promise. I want you to do a free write. I want to get to know you all a little bit more, so I want you to all write your fondest memory. It can be sad, happy, scary, funny. Just make it about the memory that defines you. The one memory that makes you who you are today. Now I will check to make sure everyonw hands me one, but you do not have to put your names on them. They are strictly anonymous and confidential. No one will know who wrote what, not even me." He put his hands on the desk in front of him and leaned into the class. "Do it however you like. Typed, written, any font, any color, blue pen, black pen, mango colored pen, anything. Just make it a part of you, because that my friends, is what writing is all about....Class dismissed."

Graham sat down irritibly as Cahal brushed him off in front of the whole class. "Yea you bet, ill be a delight." He muttered under his breath, knowing that Cahal could hear him perfectly. As he sat down and listenened to the assignment, he silently laughed. My fondest memory. I'm pretty sure he already knows it. He thought bitterly.
As Cahal dismissed class Graham looked down to catch the paper on his desk again from Iris. He smiled at it for a moment and as people began to leave, he gracefully jumped up and glided to where Iris was getting up from her desk. "It's okay. I'm new here too. Just learning about the town myself, yeh? Okay this weekend, since you asked me out and all, but don't worry I'll still pay." He said with a joking wink, knowing that they were just friends, but saying it just to pull the class' notice to her in hopes to help her make some friends. He took her hand and swiftly kissed it before grabbing his jacket, throwing it over his shoulder, and walking out of class with a smirk on his face that no one could see as his back faced them while he walked through the doorway and out of the classroom.

iris was freaking out about what graham had just done he had come over to her and made it sound like she had set up a date with him this weekend. Her face she knew was a bright crimson and everyone was staring at her she wouldn't have agreed to hang out with him if she knew he was going to try and embarrass her. she walked out of the class room head down and poked him on the shoulder more then a little mad
"hey, i don't mind hanging with you , as a matter of fact i thought it might even be a little fun, but did you have to make it sound like a date in front of everyone? they were all staring!she said in a pinched whispered tone then sighed and just shook her head walking along side of him.
