Evan stood outside the bathroom doors waiting for Riya. He couldn't believe that he was here. He had his box of Ramen in one hand and the other was nervously playing with his hoodie zipper. He looked at all the different movie advertisements. There were couples everywhere and little kids tugging on the shirts of older siblings and parents. Evan sat down on a bench next to the bathroom door and stared at a stray popcorn kernel. He hadn't done anything like this in a while. He liked the idea of it. He pushed his converse up in the air and clicked them together a few times before setting them back down on the theater floor. He looked up and there she was.

Inside the small bathroom, Riya glanced at her appearance. She was appalled. Her makeup was smeared, and her hair was a mess. She was ridiculous, and always looked like she had ran from one place to another these days. The humidity was really getting to her, and she didn't even want to think about what she would look like during the full moon. Oh boy. Reaching into her bag, she grabbed her dark eyeliner and adjusted her eye makeup. She was going to watch a movie. In a theater. Oddly, she had never done this before. It just never appealed to her. She preferred to watch movies in the comfort of her own home, without the annoying sounds of candy wrappers and the whines of small children. But there was always a first for everything, and Riya was willing to try ALMOST anything once, and the key word there was almost. Riya shuttered at the thought of eating mushrooms. Disgusting.
Checking her appearance once more, Riya decided that her hair was as good as it was going to get, and she walked out of the bathroom.
"Hey Evan, are you ready? This is kind of exciting, no?" Oh great. Her spanish accent was coming back. Nervous habit.
"What movie are we going to see? Heard anything good about any of them?"

"Hey Evan, are you ready? This is kind of exciting, no?" she said coming out of the bathroom. He was all giddy inside. "Exciting? You have nooo idea. haha"he said with a grin on his face.
"What movie are we going to see? Heard anything good about any of them?" "she asked looking around at the movie posters. He looked at them again. He actually had never thought about that. He hadn't checked up on new movies that were out. It had been forever since coming to a theater. "Well you know, I just thought that maybe we could be a bit sneaky and choose one at random, unless you have something you are dying to see," he said, trying not to sound as if he were old fashioned. He made his way to the concessions and bought some popcorn. Mmmm...butter...haha.

"Hmmm, I think that sounds like a good idea!" She glanced at the movie posters, trying to see what was playing. There was a scary movie about clowns (Riya really hoped they didn't accidentally pick that one), another movie about some sappy love story between a human and a creature of the night (That had been all the hype for the last few years), and finally the last movie was a comedy that looked interesting. Unsure of which theater to randomly pick, Riya chewed her pink nails nervously. She wanted to pick a movie, but she was afraid to pick wrong.
"Um, how about.....well, not that one.....what about?....No, I don't like that number....um........?" She was muttering to herself, unable to decide. This was going to take forever. She thought about theater 2, but 2 wasn't a lucky number, and neither was 3, so that left theater 1. But, if they were going to go theater 1, 1 is a single digit, and there were 2 of them. So finally, Riya decided not to decide.
"Evan, um, can you pick? Or we could always have the guy at the ticket thing pick? I seriously suck at deciding."

Evan laughed and playfully nudged her. "No worries. How about this one. About the Human and Vampire?"He thought it seemed very appropriate considering the situation, though he wasn't entirely sure if she was in face a human. Her smell was off color to him. His hand reached down and pulled on hers, jumping up and down. He was over excited now. "Let's go! Let's go!" he was still so much of a kid. It was ridiculous. He looked down. Evan had dropped some of his popcorn. Oh well.

Riya chuckled. Vampires and humans. Oh how silly these movies actually were.
"Sure. It should be interesting."
Jumping with an excited Evan, Riya began to look forward to the silly movie. Suddenly, they stopped and looked at the floor. Evan had dropped some popcorn. Riya found this hilarious, and began to laugh. Oh, today was a good day.
"Hold on, you have popcorn, but I don't have anything. I'm in dire need of sugar." She ran over to the concession counter, and purchased some Twislers and a Mountain Dew.
"Sweet. Sugar high, here I come!!" And Riya looked at Evan. "Shall we go and see this movie? Or are we going to wait in the lobby until its over and say we saw it?" A grin appeared on her face, and she couldn't help but wonder why she was so smiley today.

"You gonna give me some of those twislers, right?"Evan teased. Twislers were his favorite. He elbowed her playfully. "Shall we go and see this movie? Or are we going to wait in the lobby until its over and say we saw it?" she said with a big smile on her face. He looked up thoughtfully, "Hmmm...,"he pretended to think really hard about it. "I think the logical thing to do is see it,"he said winking at her and grabbing her hand to pull her into the movie theater.

"Oh this movie is cheesy.....but I kinda like it." Riya whispered to Evan as they sat in the movie theater watching a helpless human fall in love with this dangerous fanged beast. "At least he's cute," Riya thought and chuckled quietly. "You know, I'd be really funny if that werewolf would come back and sweep that girl off her feet. I'd bet he'd be much warmer than that vampire." Riya smiled and grabbed a twisler. That was when she regretted her wording. How in the hell did she know that a vampire was colder than a werewolf? He was going to pick up on it, she just knew it. "Keep your mouth shut, Riya," She told herself. "Just keep it shut."

Maybe it was just a mix up of words. There was no way that she knew that. He breathed in deeply. She didn't smell human..but she didn't smell vampire either. He couldn't figure it out. She looked like she was trying to hide something, cover something up. Evan lean towards her, with a puppy dog look on his face, his lip sticking out. "What are you hiding?"he teased. He half meant it though, wondering if his mind was playing tricks on him or if there really was something she was trying to keep from him. He looked at her with his puppy dog eyes and wondered if she'd tell him or just avoid it.

Trying to avoid suspicion, Riya whispered cautiously, "Well, wouldn't you like to know?" Forcing a grin, she playfully hit Evan across the head with a Twisler. "Shhh, watch the movie. It's getting good." As Riya watched the movie, she wondered about her enjoyable companion. He wasn't human, she was sure of that, but it didn't matter. He was nice, and she couldn't sense any evil around him. That was always a good sign. Relaxing into her seat, she let her mind tangle around the vampire in the movie. At least he was cute.

"Well, wouldn't you like to know? Shhh, watch the movie. It's getting good," Riya said, tapping him upside the head with her twisler. Evan laughed and ruffled up his own hair. Someone in the theater turned and gave him a nasty look. Woops. He sunk down in his seat, trying to contain his laughter and not disturb anyone. Evan reached up to Riya and pushed back a stray hair behind her ear. He sat up slightly smiling, forgetting completely about the movie. He reached up and yawned loudly, stretching up into the air. His hands dropped behind Riya, trying to make a big show out of it. He looked over with a grin on his face and winked at her. Leaning towards her he whispered, "Bet I could run faster than him." Evan wiggled his eyebrows up and down, trying to make her laugh.

Riya laughed at Evan's obvious attempt to place his arm around her shoulder. She relaxed and allowed him to do so.
"Bet I could run faster than him."
Sure, she thought. "Bet I could run faster than you." She dared, and leaned up and kissed him on the cheek. She felt herself blush, and she couldn't tell if her face got warmer...she was a werewolf after all. Her attention was then turned to the big screen, where an intense fight seen was happening between the phony vampire and a phony werewolf. "That is so unreal!" Riya said, some-what agitated. "Wolves don't even look like that. Pssh, leave it the Hollywood to disgrace their beauty." Riya stood up and threw some of Evan's popcorn at the screen. "Seriously, look. He's like, blue."

"Bet I could run faster than you." she said. He just laughed. Wonder if she knew that he could run super humanly fast? He thought better than to tell her that. "Oh yeah? well maybe sometime we'll have to put that one to the test. She made a comment about how wolves don't really look like that. He looked up at it and thought for a moment. Wait a second..how would she...did she have some connection to the supernatural world? He breathed in deeply as if he was sighing, taking in her scent again. He still couldn't figure out what she was. He wanted to ask.., but if she really was just a normal girl she would probably get creeped out and not want to talk to him again. He didn't know what to do.

"Hmm. Maybe we shall. What are you up to tomorrow? I could use a good run." Riya laughed, and refused to really pay attention to the damn movie. It was a laughing stock to her kind, and seriously, blue wolves? My God! Were they aliens? Riya gave her head a shake in disgust. At least the junk food was good.
